Business Plans
When it comes to business planning there is a lot of different information that all gives you differing opinions. While a lot of the information that is made available in books and on the internet is very valid. There is also a lot of the information which can become quite confusing. One book says you need a plan, while another books says you don’t. Then you manage to find a countless number of different outlines, and you are really not sure which one will work best for you.
The essential essence of a business plan is made up completely of what you choose to include. There really are no right and wrong ways to go about it, only guides and suggestions. Making the choices as to what you want to include and what can be beneficial to include can be one of your bigger issues, especially if you are unsure of the process.
What i would like to be able to do here is to give you enough information from my own experience to help you get through the process. But not give you to much information, that you will not be able to work through it, and come out with something that is usable for your own situation. As such i am going to break the information into 3 areas, which include
TYPES OF BUSINESS PLANS
Of all the different types of business plans that you may comes across there are really only a limited number of really varied layouts. This section aims to break down these different types of plans, to make it easier for you to understand.
WHAT TO INCLUDE
Just like the variety of different types of business plans there is an even wider range of different topics which you can include in your plan, while they may not all apply to your business, knowing about them all can be benefit. This section i will aim to breakdown even a little further into two sections, Core Topics, and Extended Topics. The Core topics will be the topics that it is good to include in all plans, while the extended topics are those that you potentially could benefit from either adding now or in the future.
WORKING WITH PROJECTIONS
Projections, often may not be an essential part of your business plan, however they often can be a key tool to help guide your understanding of where you are taking your business. But they also can play a great roll in tracking how your business is doing against what you are expecting.
I will be continually working on growing this section and adding additional information which i hope will prove to be useful for everyone. If there is something that you cannot find here, or something you think should be added, please visit the contact page, and leave a message.
